2004 Road Trip, Part 9

August 8-10, 2004

Rochester, Minnesota

I made Jonathan (a.k.a. Skip) and Denison sit through a photo session, experimenting with the timer on my camera, and trying unsuccessfully to explain the concept to Shrimpy. Please note that their animals are clearly accustomed to such things, and just sit there looking cute.
Yes, that would be a water tower shaped like a corn cob. It's actually hard to believe that this wonderful item is not in Mitchell, SD (see the next page for the explanation to that remark, if you've never had the pleasure of visiting Mitchell).
Here we have a shot of everyone trying to help Spike (the kitty) finish his dinner, and one of many attempts to get photos of Shrimpy and Pako playing.
Shrimpy and Pako, playing around the house.
I like how Spike is watching the goings-on from his little hidey spot ("They'll never find me here! Especially not that short one!")
Some pretty cute shots. I like the one with Shrimpy's tongue sticking out. Sure, he's a fighter; but he's a lover, too! I also like the one where Pako has Shrimpy by the head. I seem to have a lot of photos with large dogs chewing on Shrimpy. They're usually telling him he's gone too far.
