2004 Road Trip, Part 6

July 27-28, 2004

Falls Church Virginia to Neshanic Station, NJ, via the Cape May Ferry

Tom and Catherine have a wonderful, nearly 180-year old farmhouse in New Jersey (of all places [I can't mention that they live in NJ without an editorial comment]), and I took a ferry from Lewes, Delaware to Cape May, NJ en route.
This is kind of a blurry photo of Catherine riding the horse she is currently showing (Nikki), and a shot of one of her handsome boys, Reese. Shrimpy barked at Reese quite thoroughly, and this is his reaction. Terrified, isn't he?

Charlie, Shrimpy, and Grace taking a little break from playing in the Weimers' back yard. Charlie looks like he's about to "play" with Shrimpy the only way he knew how: get right in his face and bark.

I took a little day trip to do some New Jersey sightseeing to a very nice little town Tom & Catherine recommended, called Lambertville. Directly across the river is the much more yuppified New Hope, Pennsylvania. There is what looks like a really neat loop trail along both sides of the river (actually along these navigation sloughs that were dug out on either side) for miles. That's what the ducks are swimming in. The other photo is of the old train station.
